The Voice UK's Paloma Faith talks X Factor offer

Paloma Faith says she was NOT offered a spot on The X Factor judging panel.

It was reported back in 2014 that Paloma was in talks with Simon Cowell to join The X Factor but had snubbed the chance to appear.

Speaking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man last week, Paloma said that she was actually never offered a job.

"Simon Cowell sniffs everybody’s bum," she quipped. "No, I didn’t get offered The X Factor, but I do know Simon."

It turns out however that another one of The Voice UK's current cast did have discussions, even if they didn't go anywhere.

Boy George revealed: "There were kind of conversations that never really became anything, you know, you get a lot of phone calls about possible things and I always fancied doing one of the shows."

He went on: "I always thought it would be great to get on one of those panels. You know, you sit at home and think, 'I’d do a better job than that. They don’t know what they are talking about', and then you do it and it’s a whole other thing."

George added that he was happy to have ended up on The Voice rather than X Factor, explaining: "I was very excited when I got The Voice, because I love it. It’s about singing.

"The thing that surprised me is that you can get involved with the singers. It isn’t just a TV show, you do get to kind of influence what they do."

The Voice UK continues this Saturday night on BBC One with the live Quarter Finals.
