Currently a coach on The Voice UK, George together with Paloma Faith suggested that the stars of their series get more involved with the acts.
And George reckons he has the proof.
Talking on Alan Carr's Chatty Man tonight on Channel 4, he reveals a surprise relationship and a bit of X Factor gossip.
"It's funny because I was having a coffee with Monica Michael the other day, and she kept saying that Rita kept forgetting her name," George explained.
The Culture Club hitmaker also blabbed about being in early talks to join The X Factor before signing up to The Voice.
"There were kind of conversations that never really became anything, you know, you get a lot of phone calls about possible things and I always fancied doing one of the shows," he said. "I always thought it would be great to get on one of those panels.
"You know, you sit at home and think, 'I’d do a better job than that. They don’t know what they are talking about', and then you do it and it’s a whole other thing."
He added: "I was very excited when I got The Voice, because I love it. It’s about singing. The thing that surprised me is that you can get involved with the singers. It isn’t just a TV show, you do get to kind of influence what they do."
Alan Carr's Chatty Man airs tonight on Channel 4.
