A huge line up of X Factor stars past and present were set to share the stage at We Luv Festival in May.

But organisers have now cancelled the event planned for the second Bank Holiday.

Finalists from last year's show including winner Louisa Johnson, 4th Impact, Lauren Murray and Che Chesterman were all on the bill.

Reggie n Bollie, Mason Noise, Seann Miley Moore and Anton Stephans were also set to take part in what would have been the group's first performances together since the live tour concluding back in March.

Former X Factor contestants Christopher Maloney, Rebecca Ferguson and Ray Quinn were also due to be performing at the event, planned for Liverpool on Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29.

Other acts on the line up included Scouting for Girls, Fat Man Scoop, Example, UB40, Fuse ODG and the Sugar Hill Gang.

We Luv Festival was meant to take place at the famous Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.

A spokesperson for We Luv Festival commented: “We are all so disappointed that the festival can no longer take place. We have worked tirelessly to bring Liverpool its first family focused festival.

“We are so dismayed that the festival can no longer take place due to irreconcilable contractual differences between various parties”.

Those who have purchased tickets should have been contacted about how to get a refund.
