Louis Walsh has ignited yet another war with X Factor's Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
In a new interview, Louis said he would be up for a reutrn to The X Factor but not with Cheryl as he took aim at her recent music success (or lack of it).
Chatting to Closer magazine, Louis revealed this week: "Simon's already said he wishes he hadn't let me go.
"He wanted to bring me back in the middle of the last series, but I thought it'd be odd with five judges.
"I wouldn't go back unless it was the right people."
And who are those "right people"? Well alongside himself, Louis reckons the best ever X Factor panel would be made up of Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell.
That would mean saying goodbye to both Rita Ora and Cheryl from the current line up, as well as Nick Grimshaw who has already confirmed his exit.
Louis went on to remark that getting rid of Cheryl could be good for her, taking a swipe at her music.
"She's lost a bit of energy," he told Closer. "She should go away, make a record and maybe have another hit."
Louis also took aim at boss Simon when asked what went wrong with last year's series.
"Simon tweaked it too much - like his face," he quipped. "He needs to bring back the old X Factor, have the auditions in a small room. People loved that, it was intimate and revealing."
So far nothing official has been confirmed about the new series of The X Factor.
Auditions for this year's X Factor are already under way with the show back on ITV in the autumn.
