Former X Factor finalist Jake Quickenden has asked Simon Cowell to "give him a ring" about presenting this year's series.
Last year's presenters Olly Murs an Caroline Flack have already confirmed they won't be back for the new series this summer, prompting a search for a new host.
And Jake, who made the live shows in 2014, hopes it could be him.
He told BANG Showbiz: "Ohhh give me a ring, Simon. I'd love to do that. I love presenting and TV and anything where I'm learning new stuff."
Jake went on to say he would even put his upcoming UK tour on hold if an offer came his way.
He explained: "I haven't (checked if the tour clashes with 'X Factor') but I think I'd be able to work round it if I got the 'X Factor'.
"I'm sure I'd be able to put my tour on hold. Music is obviously my passion but I'm not ruling anything out."
However he's now back focusing on music with new single Blindfold from upcoming EP New Chapter.
Jake said: "I've been concentrating on writing this (EP) so now it's written, see how it does and if anything comes in then I'll definitely take it."
