Rita Ora is wanted by X Factor bosses to return to the show this year.

The Hot Right Now hitmaker is said to be Simon Cowell's "number one target" to sign up for the new series.

However it comes after reports suggested that ITV were also keen to pick Rita up for The Voice UK when it moves over to their channel next year.

"I hope they keep fighting over me, I don’t mind that at all. I don’t know what is going on but I like it," Rita said last week, insisting she hadn't made any decisions yet.

The Daily Star newspaper claims that Rita is desperately wanted by X Factor chiefs, including boss Simon.

“Rita is his No1 target. He sees her as being the one person that could save the series and make it great again," an insider revealed.

No official announcements about The X Factor 2016 judges have been made yet although we know there will definitely be changes

Nick Grimshaw has announced he's quit ahead of talks for this summer's thirteenth run with rumours that One Direction's Louis Tomlinson could replace him.

“It’s looking like Louis Tomlinson is also a done deal," the source said.

With Simon expected to be back alongside Cheryl Fernandez-Versini once again, is this our line up of judges for 2016?

We'll have to wait and see!

A spokesperson for the show said this week that discussions for the next series were ongoing and that no decisions had been made yet.
