Rita Ora could be set for a dramatic U-turn, quitting The X Factor for The Voice UK.

The singer was originally a coach on the BBC One series last year but jumped ship to The X Factor after a LOT of persuading by boss Simon Cowell.

Now it's been reported that Rita could be about to go back and quit The X Factor for The Voice UK when it moves to ITV in 2017.

The talent show will switch channels for its sixth series and it's understood that the format will undergo a major revamp.

The Daily Star newspaper reports that producers are keen to get Rita back on the panel, especially with ratings for this year's series notably down on 2015.

Although who only knows what Simon will make of such a move.

"Rita is one of the hottest properties in entertainment so it is no surprise The Voice producers want her back," a source claimed this weekend.

They told the Daily Star on Sunday: “They were devastated when she moved to X Factor last year. But now it looks like she won’t be doing the next series, it means they’ve got a chance of poaching her.”

The tabloid reports that show bosses are VERY keen to make the talent show a big hit when it moves over in the new year.

"The Voice’s first year on ITV will be critical to its longterm future. They can’t afford for it to be a disaster," the source added.

Auditions for The X Factor 2016 are under way now ahead of its return to TV in the autumn.
