We previously revealed that Lydia had auditioned for The Voice UK coaches this year, wowing them with a cover of Trouble by Iggy Azalea and Jennifer Hudson.
Essex singer Lydia had sung on The X Factor back in 2013 where she made it through to the six chair challenge.
“It still hasn’t sunk in. I’ve been absolutely devastated," Lydia told the Daily Mirror about the rejection. “If Simon Cowell was in front of me now I’d tell him to change the format back to how it was.
“This way is like dangling a carrot in front of someone and then taking it away.”
According to the tabloid, Lydia is hoping to use The Voice to 'settle the score' with The X Factor.
A show source is quoted by the publication as saying: “Lydia did really well to get through to the televised section as the auditions can be tough to say the least.
"She is aiming to settle the old score with the X factor exit because she felt she was good enough to get to the finals.”
The Voice UK blind auditions continues Saturday night on BBC One from 7:45PM.
