Another two acts have been given the boot in tonight's X Factor 2015 results.

Max Stone and Monica Michael were both eliminated in the third double exit of the series.

This evening's results show began with the usual group performance as the then final nine contestants performed a movie classic, Flashdance's What a Feeling.

There was then a recap of Saturday night's live performances before two guest performances: Jess Glynne hit the stage first, performing Take Me Home, while X Factor's own One Direction sang Perfect.

It was then onto the results as hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack revealed the six safe acts who were through to next weekend.

It left Monica Michael, Anton Stephans and Max Stone in the bottom three and facing elimination.

As ever in the double elimination, Olly and Caroline then revealed the one act with the fewest votes who would be leaving the competition right away.

And with the fewest votes, Max was eliminated. He said: "It's alright, I feel so lucky to have come this far. I think it might have been the song, maybe I needed a song that showed my voice more, or because I was ill, it was fun."

Max's mentor Simon Cowell added: "Max has been a gentleman, he's got a great voice, and a great talent."

Monica and Anton then went head to head in the sing-off: Monica performed Beyoncé's Broken Hearted Girl while Anton sang If You Don't Know Me By Now.

It was then over to the judges to vote.

Nick Grimshaw sent home Monica while Rita Ora backed her own act and sent Anton home, the same decision that Cheryl made. Simon also backed his own act, sending Monica home, leaving the judges' vote at deadlock.

It therefore went back to the public vote and with the fewest votes between the two, Monica went home.

It was also announced in tonight's results that the final seven will all be a part of 2016's live X Factor tour.

The X Factor is back with its latest live shows next Saturday and Sunday night at 8PM on ITV.
