X Factor contestants have jumped to defend Reggie N Bollie insisting they are NOT a novelty act.
Duo Reggie N Bollie sailed through the weekend's latest live show with a mash up of OMI's Cheerleader and One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful, as a shock exit saw Kiera Weathers and Seann Miley Moore both get the boot.
However the pair were fully supportive of Reggie n Bollie despite the pair splitting many viewers.
"I think people have a bad attitude about them. Do you know why people have this attitude? Because they're different," Kiera said yesterday.
She told DigitalSpy: "The style of music that they're singing isn't X Factor's typical style.
"And because they're daring to be different - people are struggling to accept them."Seriously, they are so talented and I think they'll have a life-long career out of this. They are going to sell hit after hit after hit."
Seann Miley Moore, who has also had to defend himself from claims of being a 'novelty' performer, agreed: "They're not a novelty act at all.
"Their energy, their positive energy - it's sunshine they're giving out. They work the stage."
He continued: "It's about being entertaining - although they do have the coolest tone. It's about performing. It's about artistry, you don't have to have the best voice. If it doesn't come from the heart than you're just a person singing. They have a story to tell and that's the most important thing. "
