Booming voiceover man Peter Dickson is to return for The X Factor 2015 live shows this weekend - just three months after he quit the show.

Dickson announced his departure in July, saying: "After the best 11 years with The X Factor, it's time for me to check out and cut loose."

He was replaced by Redd Pepper, the American voice of trailers for movies such as Men In Black and Boogie Nights, who was heard on last weekend's Judges' Houses specials.

However, just a week in to the job, it looks like Pepper is out - as Dickson has confirmed today that he will be back for the live shows, starting tomorrow.

"While I was looking forward to getting my weekends back, I have been so touched by the comments of thousands of fans of the show who were disappointed at my departure," he said.

"I am now delighted to say I'm back at The X Factor microphone and really looking forward to tackling the names of this season's finalists - especially Bupsi. I'll try to make it sound as nasty as possible!"

We can't wait for that!

Dickson is best known for his X Factor contestant introductions - such as his famous 'RACHEL ADEDEJI!' from the sixth series.

He also works on its sister contest Britain's Got Talent, and is the former voice of E4.

The first X Factor live show of the series airs tomorrow night at 8.00pm on ITV, with the acts tackling the theme 'This is Me'.
