Cute X Factor duo Nige and Kay have revealed how the loss of a baby inspired them to sing for the judges.
Nige and Kay impressed the panel with a cover of Olly Murs and Demi Lovato's Up at the final round of auditions at the weekend to win themselves four yeses through to bootcamp.
Nige - who previously appeared on BBC One talent show Fame Academy - has since told how he met Kay when she auditioned for a local talent show that he was judging.
Kay made me find the love again. She picked me up by my backside, told me to pull my socks up and stop being a child. She got me out of early retirement and keeps me happy.
The now married couple tried to start a family last year but unfortunately lost their baby.
However in an interview with The Sun newspaper, Nige told how the tragic experience left them more determined to succeed.
Me and Kay tried for a family last year and we lost a baby. Kay said life is for living, look what has just happened, you do not know what is round the corner, we have to go and do it.
Meanwhile Kay added to the newspaper:
The whole X Factor experience is really hard, but also quite inspiring and thankfully, Simon liked us!
The X Factor continues next Sunday night on ITV.
