New X Factor judge Rita Ora is set to miss the show's launch this week.

The former coach on The Voice UK will not be attending the official press conference and screening to kick off the new series in London on Wednesday evening.

And apparently ITV aren't too happy about it.

Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw are all expected to be at the event as well as new hosts Caroline Flack and Olly Murs together with new Xtra Factor presenters Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom.

But Rita will be snubbing the press and avoiding questions about the show as she instead tours the US.

One source told The Sun newspaper: “It was a real blow.

"It is always a glitzy occasion and the stops have been pulled out as everyone wanted to celebrate the new judges. It won’t have the same impact if one of them isn’t there.”

A spokesperson for The X Factor said last night: “Rita is unable to attend the Press launch as she is on tour in the US, organised prior to signing up.”

We'll be at the media launch this week chatting to the judges all about the revamped, twelfth series of the programme.
