Louis Walsh slams The X Factor saying viewers are 'sick of singing'

Louis Walsh (The X Factor 2014)

Louis Walsh has hit out at X Factor claiming that viewers are 'sick of singing'.

It comes after it was reported that Louis had been dropped for this summer's series after 11 years behind the judges' desk.

Louis is quoted as saying: "Personally, I believe viewers are sick of all the singing – they want a combination of talents like Britain's Got Talent."

He told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I think viewers are right when they say X Factor isn't quite what it used to be."

And stop reading now Ben Haenow and last year's other finalists as Louis claimed that 2014's run was a miss.

"It’s still great, of course, but last year wasn’t as good as it could’ve been - and we all knew it," Louis declared.

Meanwhile, despite slamming the show, Louis insisted that he doesn't know if he's been axed or not.

"People keep asking me what's happening with X Factor, but – honestly - I don’t know," he explained. "I definitely haven’t been fired, but I haven’t been hired either, so it’s all up in the air."

According to Louis, Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole will both definitely be back however a spokesperson for the show said: "No formal decision has been made regarding the full panel for this year's X Factor."
