Sarah, who is set to join the cast of Coronation Street later this year, admitted she'd prefer to join the BGT panel rather than sit alongside former bandmate Cheryl on The X Factor.
She explained: “I think Britain’s Got Talent more than something like The X Factor, even though I’m a singer, because they all look like they have such a laugh and there’s variety as well which is great.
“I love it and I’m hooked on it this year. I just love that dog that keeps hypnotising Simon Cowell.”
Speaking whilst promoting a campaign to find Britain's “happiest cat” (!) Sarah went on to reveal that people thought the news of her joining Corrie was an April Fool's Day prank when it was announced last month.
“No-one believed it – I was like, cheers guys," she recalled. “I was over the moon because I’ve been a fan of the show for years because my mum got me into it because I lived in Manchester for a long time.
“I grew up down South, but I lived in Manchester for a while because my mum’s family are from there so yeah, I’ve just been a fan for years and to actually get to tread on those cobbles and actually be part of that and get involved is just incredible.”
