Following reports that Simon Cowell has 'fired' Mel after just the one series, bookies have revamped their judging odds for the next series and the Voice coach is the odds-on favourite (1/2) to join certainty Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (1/33) on the panel with Ladbrokes.
As for who could end up sitting alongside Simon, Cheryl and potentially Rita, a comeback for Tulisa could be on the cards.
Her odds have just been cut to just evens (from 5/1) while One Direction's Louis Tomlinson - who has the backing of Stereo Kicks and Sinitta - is on offer at the same price.
Robbie Williams is fancied at a 2/1 bet with Katy Perry at 8/1 and Gary Barlow given odds of 12/1 of making a comeback to the show.
But bizarre rumours of Kim Kardashian ending up on the show appear to be unfounded (hardly surprising) with the US reality star at 20/1
Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: "Rita Ora is definitely the hot favourite to replace Mel B right now following the latest news.
"Tulisa, Louis Tomlinson and Robbie Williams all look like potential judging candidates too although sadly for Kim K fans she's a long shot like Jeremy Clarkson."
The X Factor will return to ITV later this year.
