It turns out that in true Louis Walsh fashion, the X Factor judge has no idea about anything.
Just a week after claiming he was "done" with the show, it may be that Louis is back after all.
"My day job is as a manager, I’ve kind of neglected that. I want to get back to being a manager," Louis told Ireland's TV3 earlier this month. “I’m working with Shane Filan, he’s got a new record coming out, and I’m working with Hometown. I’d like to get back to where I started off… I never wanted to be on TV, it just happened.”
He added: “I’ve done 11 seasons. That’s a long time on television. I think they’re going to change it, go for a few new faces."
They're statements we've all heard before from the Irish music mogul who seemingly says he plans to quit every year.
And so it's not too surprising to learn that Louis has already apparently gone back on his words, declaring that he might be back on The X Factor after all.
Although he also might not be, saying that "no decision" had been made yet.
"No I haven't heard anything and I won't for a few weeks," he said. "There are loads of rumours flying around at the moment but none of them are true."
As it stands only hosts Olly Murs and Caroline Flack have been confirmed for the new series, set to air in the autumn on ITV.
