Bookies Paddy Power have revealed this afternoon that they've been forced to suspend betting on this year's X Factor panel after a series of very suspicious bets placed throughout the day.
This morning a customer from Manchester attempted to stake £500 on Tulisa at 33/1 and in the last few minutes another punter asked for a whopping £1,200 on Cheryl Cole at odds of 2/5.
It saw the odds for the pair crash to become favourites to appear on this summers series along with Simon Cowell.
Paddy Power said: “Punters are lumping on Tulisa and have catapulted her to become one of the top contenders for this year’s panel. The Female Boss could be back”
They added: "We’ve a huge run on bets today out of the blue- smells to me like the line-up has been leaked. We’re battening down the hatches and pulling the market.”
At the time of its suspension the top contender’s prices were as follows;
Simon Cowell 1/50
Cheryl Cole 2/5
Tulisa Contostavlos 9/4
Mel B 5/2
Louis Walsh 4/1
Rita Ora 10/1
Yesterday ITV confirmed that Olly Murs and Caroline Flack would be hosting the show this year following Dermot O'Leary's exit.
They added that news of the judges would follow "in due course".
