American cable broadcaster AXS TV has confirmed that it will air the twelfth series of The X Factor UK later this year.
The British version aired in the US for the first time last Autumn after the entertainment channel reached a deal with Simon Cowell's firm Syco.
Now bosses have decided to renew the deal for a second run after the show proved a hit with viewers.
Senior vice president of programming Michele M. Dix said: "The X Factor UK is a stand out series for AXS TV that excels in consistently delivering unforgettable performances from both today’s top artists and aspiring vocalists, alike.
"American viewers have embraced this series, as last season’s dramatic storylines and eliminations led to significant increases in engagement each week. We are excited to see what new talent the show will discover this year, and which judges will grace the panel."
Once again, all episodes will air on AXS within 24 hours of their premiere on ITV.
The X Factor UK's new-found popularity across the pond came after FOX cancelled the US version, which saw its ratings crash from a high of 12.6million viewers to a low of 3.25million across three seasons.
So far, Cowell is the only confirmed judge for the next XFUK, with more names set to be confirmed shortly.
