Dermot O'Leary is after a dream job in the US after getting the axe from The X Factor.
The telly host won't be back presenting the ITV series this summer after eight years fronting the show.
Now he's looking for a US agent to help him break into the American market, where he hopes he can spend more time with wife Dee Koppang.
Says one of those ever secretive sources: “He would be loved there.
“Dermot knows it is a tough market but it is something he is looking into seriously. He knows he has to get a US agent first."
They told the Daily Mirror newspaper this weekend: "This is his time to grab the opportunity. It’s something Dermot has always wanted to do.”
Speaking last week, X Factor boss Simon said Dermot "wanted a change" and hinted the pair may well work together again.
"Dermot's cool, however he did a lot of years," Simon told press at the media launch of Britain's Got Talent. "I think he wanted a change. I respect that.
"He'll always get work, he's a very talented guy and we'll do other stuff together."
