X Factor 2015 WILL see a move from Saturday nights, Simon Cowell has confirmed.
It was reported earlier this year that the Rugby World Cup, set to air on ITV in the autumn, would clash with The X Factor at the weekends.
Simon joked that despite asking the channel to "just move the rugby," his team have instead taken the decision to move the X Factor to Sundays "for about a month" for this year's series.
It's after experimental Friday episodes last year pretty much flopped completely in the ratings.
Speaking to press at the media launch for Britain's Got Talent, which begins its ninth series tomorrow night (Saturday) on BBC One, Simon announced: "We'll have bumper Sundays. We’ve worked things out."
He went on to tease: "We’ve made some changes to the format, I think it works. The Sunday is going to work for us for about a month."
However it's not yet clear if this will impact the live shows or the pre-recorded audition stages.
Meanwhile, Simon told us and others that we can expect some news about The X Factor "very soon".
He insisted that nothing about the judges was "set in stone" and said he couldn't comment on rumours Caroline Flack and Olly Murs were to replace Dermot O'Leary as host.
