The X Factor auditions for 2017 are here and this year the ITV series is boasting it's biggest talent search yet.

So what do you have to do if you want to sing for the as-yet confirmed judges? Well, if you're 14 or over by 1 June 2017, there are three ways to audition...

With WhatsApp

This year The X Factor has become the first show to accept auditions via WhatsApp. Budding performers are being asked to start chats with The X Factor team and upload videos of them singing - You can get the details here.

X Factor 2017 open auditions

There will be sets of open audition in big cities across the UK and Ireland. Auditions will be held all day on a first come, first served basis all day.

You may be asked to sing acapella but may bring along a backing track on CD, phone, USB or a guitar if you wish - although there is no guarantee you’ll be asked to use it.

Open audition dates will be revealed on the official ITV website here.

Mobile auditions

Already underway, the mobile auditions will visit smaller towns and cities across the country with more than 40 stops from Brighton to Bradford, Southampton to Skegness.

Like with the open auditions you just need to turn up on the day and sing, with hopefuls being advised to turn up early as audition slots are offered on a first come, first served basis.

You can find the latest exact details regarding the when and where of the various mobile auditions on The X Factor website here.
