X Factor 2015 judges: Cheryl denies being axed after NTAs no show

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has denied being axed from The X Factor after a no show at the National Television Awards.

On Wednesday night, X Factor beat The Voice UK, Britain’s Got Talent and Strictly Come Dancing to win the gong for Best Talent Show.

Host Dermot O’Leary and judges Mel B and Simon Cowell were at the O2 on London went up on stage to collect the award with Mel saying: “This is great, this show is such a pleasure to be part of, the crew, the producers and Simon!”

Simon added: “Thank God for that!

“I want to say a huge thank you to Freemnatle, Syco, ITV, to Dermot, the judges, the contestants but most importantly the fans, this is for you because without you we wouldn’t have a show!”

Cheryl was a no show at the ceremony by took to Twitter to hint that she had her reasons and urged fans not to "jump to conclusions".

She tweeted: “People should never jump to conclusions about others… you never know what they may be dealing with #thatsall”.

But Cheryl was definitely watching the show, writing after The X Factor's award: "Congratulations to #Xf for winning the NTA last night !!! Woohoo #xf2014"

Some have suggested that the newly married Girls Aloud star could be expecting her first child.

"Cheryl, just a thought... you haven’t been on for ages are you pregnant?!" one fan wrote online.

Meanwhile and elsewhere at the NTAs this week, BGT’s David Walliams was named Best TV show judge, beating both Simon and Cheryl in the public vote.


The X Factor 2015 airs on ITV later this year with the judges line up expected to be confirmed in the Spring.
