X Factor's Paul Akister has hit back at the judges after a rough weekend on the show.
Paul was seen on Saturday complaining about his Halloween song choice from Mel B.
After his performance, Simon told him: "I think you've go to lighten up and start enjoying what you're doing."
Mel didn't really stand up for Paul as he branded Simon's comments "unfair" in a chat with Dermot O'Leary.
Speaking this week, Paul insisted he wasn't a "diva" after clashing with mentor Mel over the song choice.
"I just try to do my best. I'm quite a humble person, I don't think I have the energy to be a diva," Paul said.
And he was full of praise for mentor Mel, who is now down to just two acts after losing Jake Walton at the weekend.
"She puts so much effort in. I never imagined her to be like that," Paul said. "She's the best judge ever. She helps you with everything - not just the show but your fitness, love life and voice too."
On his love life, Paul revealed how Mel has told him: "Do it, but don't concentrate on it because you're here to sing."
He added of the show's effect on his current relationship: "It's a massive strain. We haven't talked that much while I've been here so it's bound to be hard for her, but I'm in it for the long haul with her."
The X Factor continues Saturday night on ITV with Michael Jackson v Queen weekend.
