X Factor's Simon Cowell has claimed that Stephanie Nala needs a "miracle" to avoid elimination this weekend.

The singer was in the sing-off last Sunday night and bookies have made her the favourite to leave this weekend.

Speaking ahead of this evening's live show, Simon said that the former Luminites singer will have to pull something special out of the bag if she doesn't want to leave tomorrow.

"I think it’d be a miracle if she saves herself," he said. "I like her and I don’t want to be too hard on her, but actually everything depends on her.

“I mean she’s the person in control of her own destiny right now and right now I believe that she thinks she’s going."

He added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She’s actually gotta get it into her head that she could possibly win, not survive, if that makes sense.

"So she needs a massive turnaround. She has to start believing in herself.”

Meanwhile, Simon took a swipe at Mel B's Boys after she accused his singer Ben Haenow of being "boring" left weekend.

He said: “Look, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think some of her acts, personally, were more boring than Ben.

"I thought Jake [Quickenden] was more boring; I thought Paul [Akister] was more boring.”
