X Factor's Ella Henderson is on course to score a debut Number One album.

Th singer/songwriter, who went out in the quarter finals of the show back in 2012, is on track to top this week’s Official Albums Chart with her debut release Chapter One.

Ella has since scored two Top 10 hits including a massive Number 1 with Ghost.

Now her debut album is outselling its nearest rival by more than two copies to one as it rises to the top of the charts.

And the Official Charts Company reports that if Ella's sales continue throughout the week she'll become the first female to top the chart since Lily Allen’s Sheezus took the title back in May.

Elsewhere in today's album chart midweeks and former coach of The Voice UK Jessie J is new at Number 2 with her third studio album Sweet Talker. Sweet Talker, which features former Number 1 collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande, Bang Bang, is on track to be Jessie’s third Top 3 album.

Meanwhile and in the singles chart, another former X Factor act is battling for the Number one spot.

One Direction will be hoping to steal the currently occupied top position in the Official Single Chart from Meghan Trainor.

As it stands, The group’s latest track Steal My Girl is at Number 2 on today’s Official Chart Update, close behind Meghan’s All About That Bass, which is currently on course to spend a third week at the top.
