The final three of the X Factor 2014 finalists have been revealed with the top Girls finalists confirmed.

On Friday night we saw Louis Walsh whittle down the six acts in the Groups category, yesterday it was the top three Boys who were confirmed and earlier we saw the final Overs announced.
It means that it was then the turn of the final category: The Girls.

All six of the judges' houses finalists in the competitive category sung for mentor Cheryl and her guest mentor Tinie Tempah in Nice before she delivered the tough verdicts.

There were tears as Emily Middlemas, Kerrianne Covell and Lola Saunders were all sent home.

But it means that Lauren Platt, Chloe Jasmine and Stephanie Nala are in the live shows and are X Factor 2014 finalists!.

Lauren said: “I’m looking forward to the performances. Getting out there and singing in front of ten million people! That sounds insane. I'll have nerves but if I didn't, that would be really strange. I'll just go out there and give everything I've got.”

Chloe reacted: "It felt amazing, but at the same time I felt sad for the other girls. I knew that would happen obviously, but the reality is different. I feel a bit numb. I'm really, really grateful. I'm really shocked somebody could believe in me that much.”

Finally, Steph added: |It's so surreal, I can hardly believe it. Having to go last, I whipped myself into a total state. I was in floods of tears even before I got to see Cheryl.

"All the other girls had been through and I was just sitting on my own, getting more and more worked up. I was convinced it was a 'no'.”

The trio of acts join Louis groups Blonde Electric, Only The Young and the new Boyband, Mel and her boys: Jake Quickenden, Paul Akister and Andrea Faustini, and Simon's three overs: Ben Haenow, Jay James and Fleur East.

Sunday night is also set to see a special XFactor wildcard twist, which will end with each category getting an extra act.

The X Factor continues next Saturday and Sunday on ITV with the first live shows.
