Louis Walsh has defended his decision to make Blonde Electra through to the X Factor 2014 live shows.
The Irish music mogul chose the wacky sister duo alongside the new eight piece boy band and Only The Young as his final three acts.
The decision didn't quite win over all viewers but Louis hit back: "I think the calibre has been great this year. I love Blonde Electric [now Electra].
"People are calling them the female Jedward but they are no comedy, they are just different."
He insisted: "I think we have got the mix right."
Louis also defended Cheryl's choice to take Chloe Jasmine through to the final.
He said: "She has something different and special. I just wonder if the likeability factor is there."
Speaking to Star magazine this month, Louis went on to say that he and Cheryl were "fine", if not BFFs.
"I\m getting on fine with Cheryl," he told the publication. "Are we the best of friends? No. Are we fighting like cats and dogs? No.
"But we're both professionals and we both want to win, so there is a competitive aspect there."
He added: "We spend a lot of time together backstage and we chat away. We don't sit backstage in silence plotting! We all get on fine."
The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
