X Factor 2014 judge Cheryl Cole has defended her choices about the final six acts she chose in tonight's bootcamp.

The Girls Aloud singer faced boos as she ditched some acts and finally decided on picking Chloe Jasmine, Emily Middlemas, Kerriannce Covell, Lauren Platt, Lola Saunders and Steph Nala.

Speaking about her choices, Cheryl defended the six girls she picked.

"Lauren was particularly good, incredible she was so controlled," she explained. "Kerrianne is a pocket rocket, she gives me goosebumps every time she sings.

"Steph's got a really lovely sound to the tone of her voice, she's a recording artist, she's distinctive, if you heard her on the radio you'd know it was her."

Cheryl went on to explain bringing back Chloe Jasmine in a last minute switch.

"I love Chloe, you don't want to see the same, the same, the same, there are people that sing as professionals but don't do anything to me, personally.

"I think its fair I'm honest with myself."

Finally, on young Emily, Cheryl added: "Emily was adorable, she came out like she's been singing her whole life."
