X Factor 2014 contestant Helen Fulthorpe could be axed due to an ongoing police investigation.

The Overs category singer wowed the judges at her first audition and again at the Arenas last weekend.

But it's since being revealed that Helen is being investigated over claims of harassment after a complaint was made against her.

It's been reported today that Helen has become "embroiled in a feud" with one of her brothers, which turned nasty on Facebook.

Helen's accused of sending an offensive message via the social networking website to a family member, but she says it was just a response to "months of abuse", which had got worse after her appearance on The X Factor.

If Helen is charged she could be forced to pull out of the series.

“This is a shock to everyone. She was undoubtedly the star of Sunday night’s show and the producers really bigged her up as a wholesome mother," a source told The Sun newspaper today.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police confirmed to the tabloid: “We can confirm we have received an allegation and the investigation is ongoing.”

And a spokesperson for The X Factor added: “We are aware of an allegation.”
