Jake Quickenden hits the arenas on The X Factor 2014 this evening as he continues his second bid to make the live shows.
Jake got to Nicole’s Judge’s House in 2012 but narrowly - and controversially - missed out on a place in the finals.
He lost his little brother last year, so Mel asked him to use that emotion in his singing in his room audition.
But Jake insists he doesn't want it to become a sob story.
"I don't like people knowing that I'm vulnerable," he says, "I don't like people knowing what I've gone through, I don't want pity. I want people to like me for me."
Jake adds: "This is all I've ever wanted... I need to up my game."
Tonight the 25 year old part time from Scunthorpe sings Jessie J ‘Who You Are’.
Simon Cowell tells him: "I'm going to be honest with you, I'm not a massive fan of people who come back because normally I think there's a reason you were kicked out."
He adds: "You're not the best singer we've got in the competition."
Cheryl comments: "I feel like it's always admirable when people listen to action, I think you should do that more often, you should focus and concentrate and you can deliver."
See what the other judges have to say and whether Jake makes it through to bootcamp when The X Factor 2014 airs tonight on ITV with the final Arena auditions from 8PM.
