X Factor 2014: Cheryl Cole booed after clash with Raign at arena auditions

There's tension between Cheryl Cole an Raign on the X Factor 2014 tonight, leading to Cheryl being booed by the live audience.

The pair clashed back at the room auditions, with Cheryl giving Raign a no after she praised Simon Cowell ahead of her.

In tonight's show, Raign says: "It's a shame Cheryl decided to say no just because I said I've heard so much about Simon, but I'm so glad Simon decided to take a chance on me."

This evening sees Raign, real name Rachel Rabin, perform her own original song Don't Let Me Go at the arena try outs after taking part in a "four week creative hub".

The 31-year-old has the audience cheering but Louis Walsh brands her a "total diva", adding: "You're over confident... I just don't know if people are going to vote for you."

Mel B adds: "You're not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but so what?"

Simon Cowell and Mel then clash over Raign's dress, with Simon turning fashion critic to claim it was a "hideous" while Mel loves it.

Cheryl on the other hand doesn't even try to hide her dislike.

She brands Raign "really annoying" and quips sarcastically when Raign asks for a microphone stand: "Anything else, a vodka, gin and tonic?"

After the performance, Cheryl complains to Simon: "I can't stand her... I'm allergic to her."

But Cheryl's comments see her booed by the audience, with the Girls Aloud singer turning around to blow a raspberry at the crowd.

Watch Raign's audition when The X Factor 2014 airs tonight on ITV from 8PM.
