Filming for The X Factor 2014 judges' houses in America with Simon Cowell had to be scrapped this week.
The music mogul flew the lucky six remaining acts in his category out to Los Angeles in America
But a strip of problems from a heatwave to CROWS left filming and the performances in chaos.
Soaring temperatures saw the local fire serve to tell people to stay indoors and keep hydrated, pushing the filming schedule back into the evening.
And then noise caused problems as everything from police helicopters to flocks of crows meant a number of contestants had to perform repeatedly, reports the Daily Mirror newspaper.
"Simon and the production team take safety seriously so they had to delay things and then had more disruptions," a source told the tabloid. "Filming went on late into the night which wasn't ideal but it was the only way to get things done.
"Viewers will see on screen Cowell and Sinitta discussing the singers in darkness, they needed huge lights beamed on them to continue filming outside."
Earlier this year, Cheryl jetted her acts out to Nice, Louis Walsh took his contestants to Bermuda and Mel B went to Mexico with her category.
The X Factor 2014 continues this Saturday and Sunday on ITV with the last of the Arena auditions.
The judges' houses stage will air during the first week of October.
