We're now over half way through The X Factor 2014 auditions and it's hard to pick a winner out of the contestants we've seen.
And that's not because they're all so good, it's because we find it hard to really care or get interested in any of them.
Bookies favourites like Andrea Faustini, Paul Akister and Jay James are undeniably talented but potential X Factor winners? We don't see it.
The groups category has been particularly dire with just a single girl group featuring in the auditions so far and while they got through, it seemed only to make up the numbers.
The clearly managed boy bands and their cliche VTs aren't much better, although there is potential in mixed group Only The Young.
The likes of Lola Saunders and Lauren Platt could also do well, although bizarrely editors have instead decided to focus on acts such Stevi Ritche, clearly pegged as one of this year's novelty acts but whose dad dancing routine has already got boring.
Talking of editing, this year's X Factor seems to be taking inspiration from an episode of The Big Bang Theory with its ridiculous over the top laughter track.
Huge cheers and howls are heard from the live crowd while they're clearly seen sat in silence behind the judges.
All in all it's no real surprise that viewers are tuning out...
