The X Factor 2014 ratings are continuing to fail to match up to last year's figures.
Last night's (Sunday) latest audition show saw an average audience of 8.5 million viewers tune in from 8PM for the Arena auditions.
It was up quite a bit week-on-week after last Sunday's clash with Strictly Come Dancing saw 7.8 million viewers.
But it was just under 400,000 viewers down on yesterday's episode and over 500,000 viewers down on last year's equivalent show.
In bad news for Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole, it seems most viewers preferred Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger!
However while the ratings are down in relation to previous series, compared to other shows The X Factor is still putting in huge numbers.
The show was the most watched programme yesterday and Saturday's episode was the most watched of the whole week.
Elsewhere and Stephen Mulhern introduced Sunday Night at the Palladium to a whole new audience on ITV with just under 4.5 million viewers.
The X Factor continues next Saturday and Sunday on ITV with more auditions from the Arenas.
