X Factor UK hopeful Jake Sims' future on the show has been thrown into doubt after a video emerged of him performing a supposedly racist rap.
The 19-year-old had wowed the auditions on Saturday night with his performance of Superstition by Stevie Wonder.
But The Sun has got its hands on a clip which sees Jake rant about murder and skin colour, challenging another teenager 'to get his “black c**k” out.'
The lyrics from the rap , which were recorded when Jake was 8, included: “My shoes are black just like you.
“I’ll slap you, even though you’re blacker than me I don’t care... Just cos my bag’s the same colour as your skin... F*** you."
Speaking to the newspaper, Jake apologised for the clip which had been posted on Facebook.
“I am not a racist," he said. “Looking back on the things I said I can see how stupid they were.
“I’ve done a lot of growing up since then. I am not proud of how I behaved.”
The X Factor continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV with the Arena auditions.
