X Factor 2014: Amelia O'Connell from The Voice UK makes arena rounds

Amelia O'Connell (The Voice 2014)

Amelia O'Connell has jumped from The Voice UK to The X Factor 2014, we can reveal.

The Liverpudlian songstress had impressed the coaches on the BBC One series earlier this year, winning a spot on Team Kylie after her blind audition.

But Amelia was knocked out of the competition during the battle rounds in a performance against Rachael O'Connor.

Now the teenager has auditioned for The X Factor and made it through to the Arena auditions in Wembley this weekend after impressing judges Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, Mel B and Louis Walsh.

Like a number of other successful hopefuls, Amelia's Room Audition did not make it to air, but we reckon we will get a glimpse of her over the coming weeks.

Our spies in The X Factor camp teased that Amelia's journey on the show is "not straightforward", but as always we're bound to secrecy about much until it all airs!

Other X Factors who had their room auditions cut include Britain's Got Talent's Steph Nala and 16-year-old Leah Gooden.

The X Factor 2014 continues this Saturday and Sunday night on ITV.
