Jake Quickenden returns to The X Factor 2014 tonight to audition again for the judges.
The 25 year old part time presenter (apparently) and singer got to Nicole Scherzingers’s Judge’s House in 2012 but controversially missed out on a place in the live shows.
"Unfortunately Nicole gave me the chuck," Jake recalls in this evening's show. "I was devastated and life just returned to normal, I knew I had just so much more to give.
"I was so taken back how many people liked me, I didn't think I'd get that much support.
"I'm back now to prove to the new panel of judges that I can go all the way in this competition. Today is massive. It's last chance saloon."
He adds: "If I get a no again, it's game over."
Speaking to the judges, Jake says that this is his 'last shot' and if it fails he may have to - God, forbid - get a "real job".
But his performance of All of Me by John Legend does little to win over the panel.
Mel B says: "You're cute and you can sing... but your mind is all over the place"
Cheryl tells Jake: "I would've left the guitar. It's such an intimate song, to start taking us to the club half way through doesn't really work."
Simon Cowell then requests Jake sing Say something by A Great Big World after noticing it on his list of song choices.
"Why don't you sing us this song like it's your first single, and just sing it like you mean it," he suggests.
See if Jake gets through to the Arenas when The X Factor continues tonight at 8PM on ITV.
