TOWIE's Jasmin Walia reckons her flop at The X Factor 2014 auditions was because she had to wait some 15 hours to sing for the judges.

On Sunday night we saw Jasmin sing for the judges but given four nos, leaving her in tears.

Simon Cowell told her that she just didn't have a good singing voice, while Mel B gave Jasmin a hug and advised her to get a singing coach.

Jasmin has now blamed her poor performance on having to wait some 15 hours to sing for the panel.

“I’d woken up at 4.30am and obviously you’re nervous the night before. I had to be there at 7.30am and auditioned at 10.30pm," she said. “I was completely shattered. You’re waiting around, getting more and more nervous watching everyone around you.

“When I went into the audition, the nerves got the better of me, I was so tired. If an A-lister had to wait 15 hours backstage she wouldn’t give her best performance either.”

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Jasmin also blamed nerves and emotions because she was so "drained".

She explained: "It’s ridiculous, 15 hours is ridiculous. Imagine just sitting their twiddling your thumbs. It just winds you up inside and you watch people go through, and you watch people not go through and you think ‘am I going to?’

“Simon did mug me off, I feel like when I was singing I was getting to the chorus, and actually the chorus is the best bit where you can see your vocal ability in the song and when he had stopped me I just thought ‘oh c***’.”

HOWEVER despite saying all of that, Jasmin said she would audition next year.

She added: “I probably would put myself through it again. But the only thing I’d say is I’m not waiting around for that long.”

Now while waiting around may seem quite unfair, it's not exactly unique to Jasmin.

17-year-old Rebecca Jones, who appeared alongside Jasmin, waited even longer as she auditioned gone midnight, but still impressed the judges to get through to the arena auditions.
