X Factor judge Mel B has declared war ahead of the live shows - but told Cheryl not to take it personally.
The Spice Girl singer has vowed to fight for her acts and she won't hold back.
However Mel plans to keep strictly on camera, insisting that she won't take anything it personally with Cheryl or the other judges.
"Me and Cheryl did have a conversation with each other when we were given our categories and we were both kind of saying, you know, we like each other and we’re friends but whatever happens on the panel, happens on the panel, we leave it there," Mel explained. “Let’s not take it too personal, because we actually do genuinely like each other.
“I think she is honest with how she is and I’m honest with how I am.”
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper this week, Mel also spoke out about those tears on Saturday night's show.
The usually tough judge was turned into an emotional wreck by Jay James' audition as he sailed through to the next stages of the competition.
Mel said: “I’ve never cried at auditions before. I’m very honest about everything that I do and if I feel emotions, I’m not going to hide it. Good or bad.
“Cheryl was calling me ‘Softy Spice’ the other day because she caught me crying when she wasn’t crying and I was like, ‘shut up’."
The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday nights on ITV.
