An X Factor act has claimed he was left "ridiculed and humiliated" after being told to dress as a woman.
Simon Gross was apparently told to cross dress by Simon Cowell after his first audition in front of the judges.
And he did just that, turning up at Wembley Arena in make up and sparkling hotpants.
But after his performance of a Lady Gaga and Donna Summer mash-up, Simon Cowell complained: “That was the worst audition I’ve had the misfortune to hear this year.”
Now the 45-year-old fears the stunt may harm his career if it airs later this year on ITV.
“I’m very worried about it. I feel embarrassed," Simon (the non X Factor judge one!) said today. "I’m not just an animal and I think X Factor thinks its contestants are. I don’t get why I was given the challenge and it was thrown back in my face.”
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he added: “I walked out onto the stage and Simon Cowell looked at me like I was an absolute lunatic.”
An X Factor insider told the tabloid: “Simon Gross was encouraged to do something different. Simon suggested he take some inspiration from Lady Gaga.”
