It was a story that had to come sooner or later.
The Spice Girl has been accused of of turning into a "right diva" after she refused to let auditionees for the show kiss her on the cheek after their performances.
Perhaps she just needs a Snickers...
Instead, Mel shook the hands of the wannabes as she told the booing audience at Wembley's SSE Arena: “I don’t know why people take it upon themselves to just kiss you.
"I don’t know where those lips have been!”
An onlooker told the Daily Mirror newspaper “She has turned into a right diva.
“She also wasn’t holding back on her negative comments to the acts, she is turning into a female version of Simon Cowell.”
While we're not sure about the whole kissing thing, Mel is definitely hard to please on the panel.
When we were at auditions last weekend not a single act we saw got a yes from the new no nonsense X Factor judge.
But she wasn't being mean just for the sake of it, unfortunately the acts that went before her and fellow judges Cheryl and Louis Walsh were just not that good.
The X Factor starts at the end of the month on ITV.
