Former X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger claims she she quit the show.
The singer has told the Daily Star newspaper that she decided to leave The X Factor this year to focus on her music and new album.
She told the tabloid this weekend: “Why do you think I’m here doing music rather than X Factor? I don’t do anything halfway.
"I was not able to put in the time, energy or throw the building at my music having been so committed to X Factor."
Nicole also revealed that she had only ever intended to judge the show for a year, saying that the second series was a bonus.
She explained: “I was only ever meant to sign on for one year. I almost didn’t come back for a second year but the British public were too good.
“So that’s why I’m here now and why I’ll be doing the next album, then the next one and then a world tour.”
Nicole will release new single Your Love for download next week.
The X Factor returns to ITV next month with a brand new panel of Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Mel B.
