Cheryl Cole has rubbished claims of a X Factor rivalry with Mel B.
The Girls Aloud star insisted she's getting along great with the Spice Girls singer and branded reports of backstage bitching "pathetic".
Cheryl gushed: "She's amazing.
"I admit we're different characters, but it works. she's hilarious."
She added: "I have to stop myself laughing at her because the contestants think I'm laughing at them!"
And Cheryl confessed that Mel b was even giving Simon Cowell a run for his money in the honesty stakes this year.
"She's very direct," the Geordie singer remarked. "I couldn't bring myself to say a lot of the stuff she says, but it makes for a good dynamic on the panel."
Speaking about tabloid reports pitting herself against Mel, Cheryl reacted: "It's pathetic.
"I've dealt with this for years... I was in a girl group for ten years and we were always coming in for it."
She went on: "You never see boys pitted against each other.
"Is it that hard to believe that two females could actually get on."
But while Cheryl is getting along great with Mel, things are quite different with Louis Walsh.
She admitted that there had been plenty of bickering with the Irish music mogul after just a few audition dates.
Speaking to heat magazine recently, an X Factor source claimed: "Louis has been saying that having Cheryl back is 'the return of the drama Queen and that it's all about her.
"It's starting to wind Cheryl up already."
The X Factor 2014 airs on ITV from August.
