Simon Cowell's prank on Cheryl Cole backstage at The X Factor auditions this week didn't go down so well.
After years of Cheryl teasing the music mogul, from flying banners over his house to birthday gifts of singing dwarfs, he got his own back this week.
According to The Sun newspaper, Simon took a swipe at Cheryl's 'diva' demands by making her sushi dinner liquidised.
The blended fish mix was then presented by Simon to Cheryl during a break at the try outs in Manchester on Tuesday.
But sources behind the scenes say that Chezza “wasn’t impressed”.
We can imagine.
Despite the gag, Cheryl and Simon's fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh has insisted that the new judging line up are getting along swimmingly so far.
“The first session went well, it was great. It’s fun and I think both of the girls will get on well," he said.
Back on the show for this ELEVENTH year Louis claimed that this year's series would bring back the fun.
“It’s all going great. We’re going to get the fun back in the show," he explained. “Simon is on top form and the talent is all good, with all new faces.”
Following this week’s first set of try outs in Manchester, the judges will continue on to the remaining three audition stops this year in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
The successful acts will then go on to perform at the arena auditions in London next month.
The X Factor will air on ITV later this year.
