Former The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Essex is apparently a surprise candidate to become a host on X Factor spin-off The Xtra Factor.
Question marks are currently hanging over the ITV2 companion show's team, with Matt Richardson seemingly set to be ditched after one series - though Caroline Flack could return.
According to The Sun, bosses have already begun screen testing potential replacements for the comedian - including Joey.
The 23-year-old was given the opportunity after proving popular with the public on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! as well as his recent show 'Educating Joey Essex'.
This is despite the fact that he is, well, a bit dim, having admitted on the jungle reality show that he can't tell the time - or even blow his nose.
Some insiders have questioned his ability to handle the pressures of live TV, with one saying: "Joey has been a big hit for ITV2 and has a lot of fans out there. The Xtra Factor is all about being big and brash, and having Joey on board would bring a lot of attention.
"But it is an hour-long show that goes live for the performance shows on Saturday and Sundays. Could he handle that?"
Chiefs are said to be considering whether to hire another male-female duo, or go back to Xtra Factor's old format of having a single presenter.
Other names in the frame include Laura Whitmore - who fronts I'm A Celebrity spin-off 'Now!' - and BBC Radio 1Xtra personality Sarah Jane Crawford.
The X Factor returns for its eleventh series this autumn.
