X Factor stars Rough Copy have been signed to Epic Records in the UK.

The label has been behind the success of past X Factor acts JLS and Cher Lloyd as well as singers including Paloma Faith.

The group, who finished fourth on the show last yer, are the latest acts to be signed after winner Sam Bailey, runner up Nicholas McDonald and Tamera Foster, who finished in fifth place.

The trio took to Facebook this week to announce the news, writing: "We are so grateful to have been given this opportunity to create music because this is our love and passion.

"Being able to do so on the label that was the home of Michael Jackson is a dream come true especially for me (DopeBoy)".

Rough Copy's Kazeem Ajobe, Sterling Ramsay and Joey James are set to release their debut single called Street Love at the end of June.

Earlier this year Rough Copy hit the headlines after band member Kazeem was kicked off the show's live tour after fighting with fellow contestant Sam Callahan backstage.

At the weekend the singer insisted that there were no hard feelings between him and show bosses and he was now focused on continuing on as part of Rough Copy..

“I served my punishment, which was very upsetting, but now we’re moving on to the future and continuing the journey as a trio,” he told the tabloid this weekend.
