X Factor's Tamera Foster has revealed she's getting to work on her debut album, due out later this year.
The singer was picked up by Simon Cowell's Syco Record label earlier in the Spring, despite not even making the final last series after finishing in fifth place.
“SO GUYS I HAVE NEWSSS,” Tamera tweeted back in February. “I’m The Newest member of syco music!! GET THAT WORKK!”
She added: “IM SO BLESSED TO HAVE MY DREAM JOB AT THE AGE OF 17, Thank God Always”
“She got a rough time on the show because she forgot her lyrics all the time, but she’s incredibly young,” a source added to The Sun newspaper at the time. “There’s definitely something special about her.
“She’s a potential superstar in the making.”
Speaking about her upcoming record this week, Tamera promised it would be "new wave R&B".
The teenager, who is dating fellow X Factor contestant Sam Callahan, said: " “I had my first meeting with the label last week. They showed me examples of what route they want me to go down. I can’t tell you how relieved I was because it was just spot-on.
“I definitely want it to be new-wave R&B.”
Tamera is the fourth of last year's acts to be signed with Sam Bailey and Nicholas McDonald having already released albums while Rough Copy this week signed to Epic Records.
