Rylan Clark could be set to return to The X Factor as host of its spin-off show.
The former X Factor finalist has made a name for himself as a telly presenter since appearing on the series back in 2012.
And this week Rylan confirmed he had been in talks about fronting the ITV2 spin-off this year.
"I'm waiting to hear on Xtra. I've had my meetings and it's the year of returns - I'd love to return," he said. "I'd be over the moon. Start a campaign and it might happen."
Rylan added to heat magazine: "The X Factor know that I'm not leaving Big Brother - I can do Big Brother and Xtra Factor, all the date work, I've check it out all out. I'd love to back to The X Factor where it all started."
It's bad news for Matt Richardson who said last month he was hoping to be back, but confessed he hadn't heard about his future just yet.
"It’s one of those things that you don’t know until quite late – that’s just how they operate," Matt told DigitalSpy. “I had loads of fun doing it. It was such a fun six months, so I would do it again, but it’s kind of hard to work out if they want you or if people liked you and stuff. So I’m not sure. It’s their decision – if they ask me, I’ll say yes!”
A spokesperson for The Xtra Factor said previously: “No decisions have been taken about the presenters for this year’s Xtra Factor and they won’t be for some months, as the show does not return until later in the year. Any claims otherwise are just pure speculation at the moment.”
