The cast of the new X Factor musical I Can't Sing! have named Gary Barlow and Sharon Osbourne as their favourite judges from the ITV show.
The elaborate stage show - penned by Harry Hill and Steve Brown - stars Cynthia Erivo and Alan Morrissey as Chenice and Max, two budding singers who decide to enter the talent contest.
But before they can achieve stardom, they have to win over the judging panel, comprising fictional versions of Simon Cowell (former EastEnders actor Nigel Harman) and Louis Walsh (Ashley Knight), as well as Cheryl Cole parody 'Jordy' (Victoria Elliott).
During a press call yesterday, Cynthia and Alan - as well as Simon Lipkin, who portrays a puppet dog named Barlow - revealed which judges have stood out for them, both from the musical and The X Factor itself.
"I'm gonna have to say Jordy, she my mentor," said Cynthia. "In real life, Sharon Osbourne, she's pretty cool."
"I would have gone for the Osbourne, definitely. It's the hair, there's something about the hair that's amazing!" agreed Simon. "I quite like Louis as a judge in our show."
"In the real world, definitely Gary Barlow," added Alan. "He's a northern legend. So handsome, dresses well."
"Oh! I retract my answer, Gary Barlow, 'cause I'm called Barlow," joked Simon.
I Can't Sing - which has been plagued by technical issues during its preview performances - officially opens at the London Palladium this Wednesday.
